Yemeni shiite military group attack US aircraft carriers in the Middle East in support of Palestine.

The Houthi movement, an Iran-aligned group that dominates much of Yemen after nearly a decade of war against a Western-backed and Saudi-led coalition, has emerged as a strong supporter of Palestinians in Israel’s ongoing war on Gaza

The Islamic Shiite military group Ansar Allah also known as Houthis has announced the targeting of the USS Dwight D. Eisenhower aircraft carrier for the second time, as well as the targeting of a US Destroyer in the Red Sea. They also divulged four other operations which attacked ships in the Indian Ocean, the Red Sea, and Arabian Sea belonging to companies the Yemeni army claim violated Yemen's ban of ships passing through ports of occupied Palestine.

Houthi military spokesperson Yahya Saree announced the attack on the Eisenhower carrier on Friday (May 31); the group earlier claimed that at least 16 people were killed in US and UK assaults on the Hodeidah province, the highest publicly acknowledged death toll from multiple rounds of strikes over the group’s assault on shipping.

The Houthi movement, an Iran-aligned group that dominates much of Yemen after nearly a decade of war against a Western-backed and Saudi-led coalition, has emerged as a strong supporter of Palestinians in Israel’s ongoing war on Gaza, which is estimated to have killed more than 36,000 people.

A video announcing these six (6) operations was posted via X formally Twitter on account @YemenBloodz. A transcribed statement of this video in English has been shared below:

"In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful,

The Almighty said: "And Allah will surely support those who support Him. Indeed, Allah is Powerful and Exalted in Might."
This is the truth of Allah Almighty.

In support of the oppressed Palestinian people and in response to the crimes of the zionist enemy against the displaced people in the Rafah area of the Gaza Strip, and as part of expanding military operations in the fourth phase of escalation, and in response to the American and British aggression against our country,

The Yemeni Armed Forces, by the grace of Allah, carried out six military operations as follows:

The first operation targeted the American aircraft carrier "Eisenhower" north of the Red Sea with several missiles and drones. This is the second attack on the carrier within 24 hours.

The second operation targeted an American destroyer in the Red Sea, hitting it directly with several drones.

The other four operations targeted ships belonging to companies that violated the decision to ban entry to the ports of occupied Palestine, including the ship (MAINA), which was targeted in two operations in the Red Sea and the Arabian Sea.

The third operation targeted the ship (ALORAIQ) in the Indian Ocean.
The fourth operation targeted the ship (ABLIANI) in the Red Sea.
The operations successfully achieved their objectives, with precise and direct hits, by the grace of Allah.

The Yemeni Armed Forces will continue to carry out their military operations in support of and in solidarity with the oppressed Palestinian people and in resistance to the American and British aggression against our country, which supports the "israeli" zionist enemy in continuing its crimes and aggression against the Palestinian people. The support operations will not cease until the aggression stops and the siege on the Palestinian people in the Gaza Strip is lifted.

Allah is sufficient for us, and He is the best disposer of affairs. He is the best protector and the best helper.

Long live Yemen, free, honorable, and independent.
Victory to Yemen and all the free people of the nation.

Sana'a, 24th of Dhu al-Qi'dah 1445 AH
Corresponding to June 1, 2024."

There was also a video on the X platform that seemed to corroborate the statement from the Yemeni group. The footage clearly shows severe damage to the deck. This US warship is said to be moored at a port in Saudi Arabia. Here is the video:
