Popcaan and Toni-Ann Singh's new song "Next to me" has a buzz.

 Acclaimed Dancehall artiste Popcaan and former Miss World Toni-Ann Singh, released their first collaboration --a music video titled "Next to me", and now tongues are wagging, as he, she and di ole lady sees a love relationship brewing between the two. 

For her part Miss Singh, while ignoring the speculations, has neither confirmed nor denied that the rumours are true. In an interview with the Jamaica Star newspaper, the budding artiste said this:

"All I’ll say is that there is only love between us, and a lot of it."  

Singh further told the newspaper that the music video was a vehicle they used to tell a story.

She said:

"It was just great to tell a story and I think it’s funny because it echoes everyone’s worry about whether or not we have a romantic relationship and it kind of plays along with that." 

A love story it would seem don't it peeps! 

Well... What can we say about this? We know that the two of them are from the parish of St. Thomas and have become very good friends. There are several videos of the two out and about enjoying each other's company. While we are not quite sure if they are really a couple. They do look good together and the visuals of the new song do play into the narrative that something romantic may be happening between them. 

Our take on the new single?

The lyrics were thoughtfully written. We love, love, love Toni-Ann Singh's voice! Very beautiful, melodious and smooth. Popcaan allowed her to carry the song and she shined right through while he did supporting bars. We believe a lot of fans will be gushing about this one and even people who are not real Dancehall fans will find this song appealing. We give them a big thumbs up! 👍
